CATCHESIS IS A LIFELONG ENCOUNTER WITH CHRISTPensacola-Tallahassee Diocese is introducing a new method of offering instruction our faith.
"Here is the true transformation I hope to achieve: family catechesis is not only a renewed approach to preparing our children to receive Baptism, Reconciliation, Confirmation and Eucharist, but is also a shift in focus toward lifelong faith formation with adults. After receiving these wonderful sacraments around the age of discretion, children will continue receiving faith formation with their families, growing in their prayer lives, developing virtuous hearts, and learning more about the great truths of our faith. In all of this, parents will be challenged and empowered to be the primary catechists, with the support of our parishes, in handing on our Catholic faith to another generation."

Community Catechesis is a life-long intergenerational faith formation program, studying Scripture, the Catechism, and Church Tradition through talks, activities, interaction, and prayer. It is for all members of our parish, young and old alike. By socializing and studying our faith together, family and friends become stronger faith partners on our journey.
Our goals are to support and enrich your relationship with our Lord, help you to have confidence in the graces given at your baptism, and to help you trust that He will work through them to deepen your connection with Him. God invites us into a personal conversation of His abundant faithfulness and love. In the gospels we encounter the complete richness of a new life in Christ as a part of His Body, the Church.
In Community Catechesis we are assisted by clergy members, ministries, families, and each other. All of these people together will be the tapestry to nurture and enhance your spiritual journey.
We will utilize multi-faceted resources to assist with attaining this wonderful life in Christ.
